Vorarlberg has the most varied landsape in the eastern Alps. It´s only 90 km from Lake Constance and the Rhine Valley Plain across the foothills to the high-mountain regions and Silvretta´s glaciers. Everything that can be experienced in winter is within your reach.

1.200 km of groomed trails - that would be a run from Londong to Milan, with the most varying degrees of difficulty: from flat runs perfect for children to high-alpine ones which put one´s ability to the test. Vorarlbergs´s pioneer role in alpine skiing and its scenic diverity continue to inspire a wealth of ideas and create new winter sport trends.

Once it was called wedeling. Then jetting, boarding and carving. The meaning however, has remained the same: fun and excitement galore, outwitting gravity on the snow. Vorarlberg boasts 1,200 kilometers of carefully groomed slopes and many places to stop in between. The perfect turn is easily learned in one of the 45 ski schools. Come and let the fun begin!

Vorarlberg has a specially soft spot for children. We want them to feel completely at home in their hotel, which means having plenty of room to play and enjoy themsleves. The Family Club affiliates undertake to provide special facilities, programmes and prices for families.

Harmony is best described as a state of complete accord with oneself and one´s surroundings. In Vorarlberg, there is no defence against harmony, it is a natural condition. Relax and unwind. Alone, with your partner or your family. The best place to do so is in a meadow. And that´s exactly where harmony is.

There is no need to climb above the timberline just to view the world from a different perspective. A little hike, a friendly chat with a farmer or innkeeper, down in one of Vorarlberg´s many valleys, is enough. That´s where you find the most prescious thing in the world: inner peace.

Alpine skiing is, of course, not the only winter pastime in Vorarlberg. Almost 800 km of cross-country trails are spread throughout the province. About 880 km of cleared winter paths for walking are an attractive alternative. Other welcome options offered by several villages include artificial and natural ice skating rinks, horse-drawn carriage rides, tennis and indoor sport centers and tobogganing. And later on you can enjoy the high life and friendly toghetherness during après-ski.

History and culture of Vorarlberg were determined by simpleness, the mountains demandes strength, hard work and pains form the mainly rural people. So the the people of Vorarlberg remember old traditions. The many locla museums bring the past alive, traditional customs are still weared and native music comes to life again.
