This Chapel was erected in the year 1810 to the glory of God and to thank that Piesing had been spared from the French Wars.
Complete restoration works were carried out in 1937 and in 1978. The Chapel is a beautiful building that glorifies God and is a living place of worship and ministry. From the first Saturday in May till the beginning of the summer holiday season, the so called Grainfield Prayers are said here. This is when the local community asks for God´s blessing on in the summer beginning, on the weather and on a bountiful harvest. Each prayer is completed with a jovial gathering. And each year in May the Chapel serves as venue for the annual Marian Devotions of Piesing, which is then concluded with a small village fair.
