In this chapel the criminals and offenders said their last prayer before the priest took them to the execution at the nearby gallows hill.
Nowadays the chapel is situated on the Old Hill, a former part of the ancient Via Regia, crossing the main road in Neufelden, leading from the shores of the Danube river along the Langhalsen water reservoir to the North.
