Schiffer Chapel
In memory of the raftsmen on the river Enns.
Legend has it that the chapel was built in memory of the raftsmen who lost their lives in the cataracts of the river Enns.
Today, the regulation of the river Enns has been achieved through building a reservoir.
A statement of 1841 by Wolfgang Weidl proves that a memorial had in fact existed even before the chapel was built.
The chapel is set near the house of the Marlovits family.
