Pertisau, located at the East/South-East banks of Lake Achensee is an enchanting village with a fascinating mixture of tradition and modernity.
Here, the advantages of the largest Tirolean lake are perfectly complemented by the alpine scenery. Pertisau is one of the best bases for walking and mountaineering in the largest natural park of Tirol, Karwendel Alpenpark. If you wish to reach the sunny heights even faster, use the Karwendel mountain railways. There are also many mountain bike routes.
The emperor Maximilian loved to hunt in Pertisau. Members of the aristocracy and artists found their inspiration here. While you walk into the charming village center or along the lakeside, you will see many signs of the past, e.g. the oldest golf course of Austria and the most beautiful greens of the region.

Sports & Spa at AcLake Achensee
At a size of 719ha, Achensee is Tirol´s largest lake. Its crystal-clear water has drinking quality.
The Achensee boats stop at Pertisau; since 1887, the steam boats connect Achenkirch, Maurach, and Pertisau. The colorful sails of the surfers and sailing boats create a special atmosphere, and there are many possibilities for sports enthusiasts: fishing, tennis, running, and Nordic Walking are all included in the "activity program" of this marvelous holiday village.
There is a great number of spa hotels located by the lakeside, largely due to the existence of a very special Tirolean stone oil, which is very healthy and used in many beauty and care products.
