Neuhofen a. d. Ybbs
In 996, the former emperor Otto III von Feising made a gift of the surrounding land of Neuhofen and in this document the name "Ostarrichi" (Austria) appears for the first time. This document can be viewed in an exhibition in the new Ostarrichi-Kulturhof. Neuhofen can therefore be called the cradle of Austria.
Even today the villages have the character of a cradle. Soft swaying landscape, friendliness of the citizens and culinary delights create a feeling of security and happiness. Thus, Neuhofen becomes the cradle of relaxation for its guests each and every time.
Neuhofen is situated about 130 km away from Vienna. The nearest town is Amstetten, about 10 km north of Neuhofen.
