The rural community of Aichkirchen in the Upper Austrian Hausruckviertel region spreads across some 6.5 square kilometers of gently rolling, wooded hills and is the smallest and westernmost village in the district of Wels-Land. Thanks to its scenic location and picturesque surroundings Aichkirchen makes a splendid environment for its 500 inhabitants and a magnificent retreat for visitors who appreciate crisp air, peace and recreation.

With its beautifully decorated houses and public squares bathed in a sea of flowers, Aichkirchen was voted as Upper Austria´s most beautiful village out of 16 participating communities in 1991.
