Mayrhofberg with its hilltop vantage point towers high above Eferding. The village center of Stroheim with the parish church from the year 1235 dominates the landscape with its impressive pointed tower, a sight that can be seen for miles around. A lovely trail, embedded in an area of outstanding natural beauty, winds down to Gaisberg, the site of idyllic Landerlkapelle Chapel. This Chapel was founded by a Franciscan Monk of the Monastery of Pupping and built in the years 1901-1902. Each year in May, the Chapel is the destination of the annual Ascension Day Procession.
