Gaming is situated on 430 m above sea level at an old trading street, once leading from the Styrian Erzberg to the Grubberg into the country at the foothills of the Alps. The popular summer freshness resort, also attractive in winter, is surrounded by the first 1000m high mountains of the Styrian-Lower Austrian lime alps, the Zürner (1096m), the Föllbaumberg (1014m) and the Schwarzenberg (1049m) mountains. Thanks to the former charterhouse Gaming, the Lower Austrian Iron Route and the nature park Ötscher-Tormäuer, the community has established itself as a major excursion target.

In winter, we offer you advent magic at the charterhouse in Gaming as well as snow fun at the ski resort Lackenhof. In the main village Gaming, the cold season makes for a spectacular natural landscape.
