Thanks to the location (2,700m above sea level) excellent snow conditions for snowboarding and carving are guaranteed from the end of November to late spring. This is pure skiing fun: most modern lift systems, alltogether more than 200km of perfectly groomed slopes - what are you waiting for?

The linked skiing circuit "Amade" offers more than 860km of pistes, served by 270 lifts.

Gastein is the perfect place to go cross-country skiing, which is known as one of the healthiest sports. It´s great to glide through the winter wonderland at your own speed, breathing crisp air. With its 90km of well-groomed trails Gastein is a paradise for cross-country skiers. Superb snow conditions are guaranteed until spring at 1,600m above sea level. The floodlit cross-country trail in Bad Gastein (hamlet Böckstein) is a special highlight.
