Mountain bikers and golfers will equally love Achenkirch ...

... as one of the two golf courts at lake Achensee is located on an attractive plateau nearby - the 9-hole court is ideal for beginners.

The access to lake Achensee is free for everyone but a bath in Achenkirch can be especially chilling as crystal clear mountain streams run into the lake. An espacially created promontory ensures unlimited bathing fun as the water is a bit warmer at this part of the lake. Achenkirch is also ideal for lots of other sports activities such as tennis, squash, horse back riding, sailing, windsurfing, inline skating, jogging, Nordic Walking, etc.

Agriculture still plays an important role in Achenkirch. At the musem Sixenhof farm, you have the opportunity to discover how farmers lived and worked earlier on. The farm made its first appereance in the chronicles in 1361. Altogether 19 rooms bring farming tools, a blacksmith, a shoemaker and a weaving mill back to life.
