ABFALTERSBACH, A WORLD OF HISTORY AND ADVENTURE

In earlier times, the town of Abfaltersbach used to be at the border with the Slavs and alternately belonged to Freising and the Illyric province of "La Carinthie".

It wasn't until modern times that the town was integrated into the community of Strassen and then became independent.
After the pilgrimage of a citizenry, the Lourdes chapel and the churches of St Andrews and St Mary's Invitation were built.

The well-preserved stove-fitter building with the water-driven glaze crusher makes for a unique visit. People who traveled by horse carriage were able to get to the "Badl" spa from Gasthof Post in five minutes.

Today's guests can relax in the wooden bathtubs of "Aigner Badl".
