Before the Enns river leaves Styria after a 130.5 km long, partly gentle, partly exciting flow through Upper Styria, it makes a wide bend through romantic mountains. At the half circle close to the border to Upper Austria, above the 70m high steep bank, there is a green terrace on which Altenmarkt is located. This idyllic village is surrounded by woods and offers plenty of facilities for exciting and relaxing holidays - as you prefer. Cyclists love the trails around Altenmarkt to Unterlaussa and further on through the unique Hintergebirge mountains. Altenmarkt offers many excellent inns and restaurants.
