Are you longing to find peace, relaxation, and intimate natural experiences?

A magic scenery, unspoilt nature and the famous hospitality of the locals from Ober-Grafendorf, Weinburg, Hofstetten-Grünau, Rabenstein, Kirchberg, Loich, Schwarzenbach and Frankenfels cordially invite you to enjoy your stay in the Pielach valley!

The Pielach valley offers itself as a "green lung" close to the Austrian capital city Vienna and the capital of our province, St. Pölten. Day-trips, leisure-time, vacation or holidays - simply feel well - simply relax - simply "Pielachtal"!

The Pielach valley is a typical landscape of the Mostviertel region. Many thousands years ago, the Pielach has already formed its way from the wild alpine region down into the mild, fertile country the valley is today, creating landscapes like in a fairy-tale. Today, the "Mariazellerbahn", the local train, accompanies the river on its way from St. Pölten to Schwarzenbach, popular among hikers and pilgrims. A symbol for the natural abundance of the valley are the "Dirndl" trees: flaring red cornel cherry trees.

The Pielach valley - Stories taken from a riverine landscape in the Mostviertel

The inhabitants of the eight communities of the Pielachtal valley are really proud of their homeland: carefully selected hiking routes, impressive natural & cultural treasures, friendly hosts and all kinds of culinary delights: fresh milk, sweet must, fruit juices, spicy sheep cheese, delicate spirits and everything related to the "Dirndl" tree.
