The lake, which is nearly 50km² big, has the ideal conditions for sailing and surfing. Many visitors come each year to watch the international sailing competition!

The landing stage is surrounded by lovely cafés, excellent restaurants with terraces overlooking the lake, a music pavilion etc. You also find a mini golf course near the square where concerts and festivals are held in the summertime.
Why not take your bicycle and ask at the tourist information for the best tracks (for mountain bikers as well!!).
It is a long and popular tradition that once a year cars are banned from Lake Attersee. On September 19 you can enjoy cycling around the lake without being disturbed by cars. Along the path there are snack bars and the sound of Austrian music will fill the air. Meet other passionate cyclists and enjoy this great day!

The Höllengebirge / Hell´s Mountain Range is very popular amongst passionate hikers, but you can also choose less demanding hiking tours. Whether your approach is low-key or high-energy, getting out and being active is an excellent way to gain a fresh perspective on life, to stretch your limits and to enjoy the breathtakingly beautiful mountain scenery. You will certainly have a great time!
Adventure Pool Attersee
Not only kids have fun in this exciting swimming pool, featuring a 52 m long water chute, a chute into the lake, massage pools, a playground, table tennis facilities, a geyser, a sauna, solarium etc. In the restaurant you can have delicious meals and snacks.
The pool is open from mid-May until mid-September.
What a pleasure it is to go swimming in the lake on a hot summer´s day!!
