Our municipality is located at the right bank of the Danube in the heart of the Wachau valley (since November 30, 2000, we are proud to be called "World Heritage Cultural Landscape"), exactly opposite of Spitz, Weißenkirchen and Dürnstein.

There is also a ferry connection to these villages across the Danube.

Many sights of 1000 years of history mark each of the village parts of our municipality.

210 guest beds and a large camping site at the Danube.

We are also partner municipality of ARNSDORF and METTEN in Lower Bavaria. Since 2006, we are also part of the Agenda 21 communities, the 280th in Lower Austria.

Wine and fruit (apricots, apples, pears, ...) can directly be bought from the producers. Enjoy!
