Welcome in Pulkau!

At the entrance of Pulkau valley, the melancholic way of the Waldviertel is combined here with the sunny way of the Weinviertel, in the middle of the largest closed in wine growing area of Austria. Finest wines and fruit sorts are characteristic to this country. Thus, apart from viticulture, Pulkau also rangs as the fruit-growing municipality of the region.

But one hasn´t forgotten about art and culture. The Michael church and the "Karner" on a hill count among the most beautiful architectural memorials of Lower Austria. Owing to the "Holy-Blood-Church", an unfinished construction of the Gothic, Pulkau is the art town of the Weinviertel.

A leisure facility with heated swimming pool, mini golf course, sport facilities, camping space and tennis courts offers everything needed for recreation. 50 km of marked hiking paths lead through the landscape conservation area "Oberes Pulkautal" and the surroundings of Pulkau.
