Pöchlarn is a historic town of the surrounding region, with one of the oldest municipal laws (1267) on the right bank of the Danube.
Findings from the roman "Arelape", a military and civil town, are exhibited in the the Welser tower (1484), today´s city museum.
Pöchlarn has received a wonderful homage in the "Nibelungen" song. The well-known memorial at the Danube still reminds us of that.
Just opposite of this memorial, the birth place of Oskar Kokoschka is situated, one of the best known Austrian artists of the 20th century.
You can relax during a visit to the town bath of Pöchlarn.
Solar facility - 24°C water temperature, large lawn for sunbathing, 50m water slide, children´s basin with elephant´s baby slide, beach volleyball field, beach soccer field.
