The offer for culturally interested visitors ranges from the time bridge museum with the first Austrian trade museum, the only Suppé-memorial, the castle ruin of the Babenberger and the adjacent Gertrud church, up to the partly reconstructed fortress building and the foundations of the oldest Carolingian church north of the Danube.

The summer festivals "Opern Air", set against the magnificent scenery of the castle court are a highlight of the Lower Austrian culture summer.

Gars am Kamp further offers, apart from the newly built sport and adventure bath, 7 tennis courts, 3 hall courts, a mini golf course, a leisure institution for sport and health, a skating rink as well as the organic training hotel and Chinese centre of Prof. Willi Dungl.
