Welcome to Ertl in the Url valley!

The community Ertl comprises the upper Url valley on an area of 21 km². The highest elevations are the Adlersberg (830m), the Freithofberg (895m) and the Buchenberg (730m). The only through street (LH86) leads from St. Peter/Au along up the Url to the Großauer Sattel, from where you will get into the Ybbs valley to Waidhofen/Ybbs and to Maria Neustift into the Raming valley. The community area is being ecologically farmed by farmers (mainly dedicated to raising cattle), and the forest estate Segur-Cabanac.

The exisiting businesses cater for the close community supply and are dedicated to wood processing.

Touristic targets are the surrounding panorama hills, accessible via comfortable hiking paths, and the "Schwarze Küche" in the inn Pierreith.
