Echsenbach - inmidst the beautiful Aubach valley

The small market community is situated just beside the old "Emperor street" Vienna - Prague. There´s still something to be felt about the good old times: Stress and hectic life are not known. Peace, fresh air, comfortable hiking paths form the highlights in the touristic offer.

Especially worth mentioning is our schnapps glass museum, the one and only of its kind in Austria.

Hadmar von Ochsenbach appears in 1175, the place may yet be older and was part of the defensive wall of the Kuenringer. In Echsenbach, Austria´s oldest prefabricated house producer is located. The company Hartl Haus serves many states of the world. Today, the emphasis is put on on organic building requirements.

Seven inns and two discotheques are especially prepared for the needs of guests. Bathing, fishing and recreation possibilities are offered by the newly created village pond. Four tennis courts and a 5 alley asphalt curling place are at our guests´s disposal. The beautiful look of the village has already been awarded. The hiking paths are part of an over-regional network, in the wintertime, there are cross-country ski runs and the possibility of ice skating.
