WELCOME

Breitenfurt is located in the landscape conservation area of the Vienna woods at the southwestern border of Vienna. Despite the capital city's proximity, Breitenfort possesses a rural character and oak and beech tree woods, inviting you to extensive, recreating walks. In the western part of the village, you can still find old famer´s houses and the magnificent baroque chapel of the ancient imperial hunting castle with works of the Altomonte-school and by Raphael Donner. The eastern part of the village mainly comprises modern settlements, centre of which is the parish church St. Bonifaz, constructed by the architect DDr. Clemens Holzmeister.

Breitenfort disposes of a rich choice in sport possibilities. Tennis as well as horse lovers will find beautiful institutions in Breitenfurt. In times of rain, modern riding and tennis halls are at your disposal. During the wintertime, a 450 m long T bar lift to the Brenner pasture operates.
