Aschbach is located inmidst the hilly landscape between the Danube valley and the river Ybbs and counts among the oldest market communities of the county Amstetten.

Worth seeing are, among others, the church Hl. Martin, the houses at the market square with facade from the 17th, 18th, 19th century.
