Drosendorf an der Thaya
Drosendorf is a little town at the river Thaya,
surrounded by woods and a changing river landscape, surrounded by medieval city walls and a varied history. Baroque claddings and old mansions frame the main square. In the middle of the park are the Martin´s church, and next to it the pillory.
Small lanes lead to the back of the town and shady paths into the old town, where former "Sommerfrische" villas are surrounded by large orchards.
Drosendorf has all the ingredients one needs for dreaming, much nature and a little bit of town, a castle and a river, sunny grasslands and shady alleys, blossoming gardens and steep rocks. But also inns with beautiful terraces, cosy accommodation and many ideas for the future.
