Andelsbuch, a village in the middle of the Bregenzerwald region, has 2,300 inhabitants, offers jobs for more than 700 people and is a popular destination with families, hikers and athletes.
Andelsbuch lies on the biggest plateau of Bregenzerwald, at the foot of the Niedere, at an altitude of 613 m above sea level. Andelsbuch offers attractive architecture and great gastronomical services!
For families and alpinists. More than 100km of marked footpaths and hiking trails invite you to explore our scenic surroundings on foot. Roam through forests, stroll through colorful meadows, take a walk along theme trails or conquer new heights climbing one of the many majestic peaks. The greatest dream of mankind - to be able to fly - became true with paragliding. Whether beginner or pro, the "Niedere" flying area is great for everyone. Here you'll find one of the best flying areas of Europe! The Andelsbuch flying area is known for its laminal flow and good-natured thermal conditions. Either you fly yourself or try a tandem flight with one of our flying schools - enjoy absolute freedom!
If you're looking for a hike under the motto: ways to water - then Andelsbuch is the place to be. Explore the Brühlbach waterfalls or the Andelsbuch power plant. There are also Kneipp facilities and you can also try fishing. Along the Bregenerach brook you can sunbathe and swim in the clear mountain water.
For a few years Kulturverein Bahnhof has been part of the Bregenzerwald region's culture scene.
It organizes exhibitions, courses and smaller events at the Bahnhof building. The latest events - concerts, readings and exhibitions - are listed on the website.
This year once again great concerts and recitals will take place at Seebühne Bregenz between July and August 23, 2009.
