Ybbs - the town with Danube atmosphere!
The town has mainly made itself a name by the "Ybbsiade". But apart from the cabaret festival, Ybbs has of course something to offer, too.

A special point of interest is the unique and perfectly renovated heart of the old town with its romantic courts and lanes and civil houses from the 15th and 16th century. Worth seeing are the "Passauer Kasten" as part of the early gothic castle town, the late gothic parish church St. Lorenz, the "Old Wine Toll", old castle town, the historical city walls with Friedrich´s tower and moat as well as the town hall and the museum of the town´s history.

Sport possibilities and relaxation can be found in the leisure time centre of Ybbs (indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam bath, organic sauna, solarium, massage).
You can go and play tennis indoors as well as on sand courts.
In the summertime, a nature pond invites you for a bath and to unwind out in nature. The surroundings of Ybbs are also suitable for hiking and cycle tours. The Danube woods and Ybbs river are perfectly apt for fishing. A visit to the Danube power station Ybbs-Persenbeugg is also worthwile.
