Scenic Danube Cycling Trail right on your doorstep!
In 1230 Langenstein was first mentioned as "Stein" in historical documents. From 1626 the name was changed into "Langenstein".
The charming little town is conveniently embedded in Mühlviertel´s gently rolling hills, only 15 km from Linz, Upper Austria´s capital. Due to its immediate vicinity to the unspoilt Danube´s shores it makes a perfect holiday resort in summer and winter alike.
