Gallneukirchen offers culture, nature, good restaurants and a variety of sports and leisure facilities.
In 1832 Emperor Franz I. was traveling the country on horse-train and paid a visit to Gallneukirchen. Today you can still find old bridges and culverts from these times.
"Waldheimat" once was an important stopover on the 130-kilometer long route from Linz via Gallneukirchen to Budweis. Today the inn still welcomes hikers and visitors to enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and good local food.
