Honor to the best cooks

The Krems region with its 17 award-winning restaurants is the "stronghold of the good taste".

Each year the strict gourmet critics of the restaurant and hotel guide "Gault Millau" honor the best restaurants in Austria with their desirable awards. Also this year the Krems district ranks again among the culinary top regions of the country. Altogether 21 awards were distributed in the region.

The Krems area wins the ranking of the best cooks

In the Krems region the gourmets are fully covering their expenses. Nowhere else you will find such a large density of excellent gourmet restaurants.

With altogether 21 awards the Krems district suceeded in 2010 once again in reaching top-rankings.

The local top-ranking cook is Liesl Wagner-Bacher like already in the past years. For her "Landhaus" in Mautern she reached 18 of 20 possible points and achieved again three awards.
