Breakfast

We are very flexible regarding breakfast hours. Upon arrangement, our guests may even come as early as 6.00 a.m. or after 10.00 p.m.

The speciality of our house is home-made apricot jam, which can also be purchased.

The two ladies on the picture have rather had little for breakfast. In addition, we can serve you soft boiled eggs, sausages, ham, cheese, fruit juice, yoghurt, etc.

Regular guests have turned into friends

Norbert, Jo and Herta from Atzbach, near Vöcklabruck, have chosen to visit us each year in July on the occasion of the Wachauer Cycling Days.

In the evenings before and after the race, the three of them can always be found at the local Heurigen Prosenitsch-Eichelmann.

"Morning Pint"

During the week, the locals like to meet in the mornings to play cards.

Here in this area, French cards are used to play (Herz, Karo, Kreuz and Pique).

The loser always has to pay 1/8 l of wine to the winner. Arguments are part of the game !

Corridor 1st Floor

Last year we have redesigned the corridors on the first and on the second floor. When entering the corridor - either from the garden or from the rooms - the lights are turned on automatically for a short time.

The second key for the rooms n° 1 to 4 and n° 6 to 9 locks the garden gate in order to leave or enter the house.

Room n° 1

Our goal is to maintain all rooms on the same level of quality.

In December 2008 we have renovated rooms n° 1 and n° 4, in February 2009 room n° 13 and in November 2009 the rooms n° 2 und n° 3.

Staircase

Last year we have painted the whole staircase.

On the table opposite the stairs you find numerous information material and folders of the region "Wachau-Nibelungengau-Kremstal", Lower Austria and Vienna.

The flower baskets we use this year come from the nursery Fries in Krems. They have already been planted on April 28.

This time, the coral pink geraniums called "Greco" have made the race !

House "Unterer Markt 72", owned by the family Ludwig Proidl: large, traditional two-storey building, built in 1904 by Alfred Castelliz, beautifully scaled, with circular jutty above the entrance loggia on pillars, high gable.

Garden

Our garden is open to our guests, featuring a lawn with deck chairs and quiet banks.

Those who dislike the plain heat can find comfort in the shadow of the large sun shade or the 4 m large hazelnut tree.
